Basic Cookie Mix

6 C flour
2 C sugar
2 tsp salt
1 C powdered milk
2 Tbls baking powder
1 1/2 C shortening

Sift all dry ingredients together. Cut in the shortening until it resembles coarse meal. Store in an airtight container.
